Step by step to Workin'glamp sustainability
Sustainability is a characteristic of development. It is a combination of conditions that ensure a quality of life for future generations that is not inferior to that of the present.
Why be sustainable? Making sustainable and environmentally conscious choices is a gift to our own lives and the lives of our children.
Sustainability is a characteristic of development. It is a combination of conditions that ensure a quality of life for future generations that is not inferior to that of the present. In theory it is a rational and desirable process, but in practice it is complex and needs to be implemented and sustained over time. A commitment that requires awareness, will and confidence in the future and the power of change.
It is necessary to change the way we do and organise things by changing our perspective. For example, events - such as ceremonies, team building, sporting events, concerts and courses - must be organised in such a way as to maintain the delicate balance that indicates whether or not the weight of our actions is sustainable for the environment.
In the Workin'Glamp villages, Club del Sole carries out and proposes a series of virtuous actions in order to approach the conditions that allow to define "sustainable".
Workin'Glamp's sustainable steps
Environmental sustainability starts with the choices you make, which is why our Workin'Glamp Villages only use bicycles and electric vehicles such as golf cars and scooters for movements.
The energy supply is also chosen by selecting suppliers that guarantee energy generated from renewable sources. Charging stations for electric cars are also available within the Villages, and an ongoing internal awareness campaign encourages our customers to leave petrol-powered vehicles behind and hire a bike instead.
Accommodation is mobile, meaning that it can be completely disassembled and reassembled, leaving no irreversible impact on the area in which it is located. Furnishings are also carefully selected from controlled and low-impact supply chains to ensure high standards of eco-compatibility.
Guests will find eco-friendly products with recyclable packaging for personal hygiene and body care. Our restaurants and venues focus not only on a circular economy, leading to careful waste disposal and the selection of local and seasonal products, but also on a circular cuisine, using every raw material and minimising waste. The use of compostable take-away is also planned.
Our villages are therefore committed to ensuring that the "in touch with nature" offer is also an offer that is able to respect and live in complete harmony with nature. It is easy to talk about sustainability, but difficult to put it into practice. Unless we take it one step at a time, all together.
